Build the Resistance Newsletter #2
Two featured actions, resources, and wins to help you build the resistance this week.
Dear Friends,
Welcome to our second newsletter.
We’re coming to you this week with two highlighted resources, two actions, and two recent wins.
You may have heard rumors that April 19th will a nation-wide day of action. We’re hear to confirm them and to remind you of all the ways you can take action beyond protesting. Demonstrating in the streets is just one tool in our toolbox. Check out some of the other tools under both our highlighted actions and resources this week.
Our wins this week celebrate the people of Wisconsin telling Musk he cannot buy their Supreme Court, and Senator Booker (D-NJ) shattering a senatorial speech record long held by an ardent segregationist. We also want to acknowledge the impact of the recent April 5th protests. Many of you may have hit the streets that day and saw for yourself how many people were united in the fight to keep our rights. Numbers are still rolling in but it looks like it was the largest day of mass protest in American history.
With Trump polling at an all time low, growing discontent about the Tarif Wars, and righteous outrage over the SAVE act, we are showing we are angrier and more determined than ever. As we head into the second half of April, we urge you to keep your voices loud and your actions strong.
Let’s keep building the resistance together.

FEATURED ACTIONS
This week we’re highlighting the April 19th nation wide day of action and reminding you of what you can do besides hitting the streets.
April 19th is another day nation wide day of action. 250 years ago the American Revolution began on this day with the battles of Lexington and Concord. Nationwide, people will show up to defend our country’s core values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Search for the nearest protest to you and join in with the millions that will be telling MAGA and Musk that we still hold these values as essential to our democratic way of life.
In person demonstrations are important but if you’re looking for other ways to resist, don’t forget to check our 10 Ways to Resist or to join an organization near you. Long term resistance comes from ongoing commitment of time, energy, and resources to the grassroots efforts happening all around us.
Already familiar with the 10 Ways to Resist? We’re recommending viewing The Encampments: Inside America’s Student Uprising. The Encampments take viewers inside the student led protests against the genocide in Gaza at Columbia University. Watch and learn about the inner workings and struggles of the movement. Find more information about it, and other actions, here.
